Hey everyone!
Just curious to know what upcoming marathons everyone is planning on running over the next 3-6 months. I would like to plan one for January, a goal to help get me back in gear.... having something to train for. I am very interested in running Boston as well and would like to know who else plans on running it. Thanks!

Hey Jen! You've got at least 2 choices - Disney on Jan. 10th, or Miami on Jan. 31. Terri, Melanie, Christa, Oscar and I (I'll be on course with my TNT team) are all doing Disney - not sure on others. Miami will have me, Rietsma and Beaty. Gausche and a few others from the area will be doing the 1/2 at Miami. Is Disney is closed, you can get an automatic entry from Melanie (you still have to pay though - but it gaurantees you entry to the race).

ReplyDeleteYou could do Clearwater Marathon on Jan 24. It is close to home and cost shouldn't be that much.You don't have to travel far. I have done the 1/2M and it is a nice course finishing at Coachman park in Clearwater.
Hey thanks Terri and Lyle:) I won't be ready for Disney but I am leaning towards Clearwater. I ran the Miami 1/2 a few years ago so I wouldn't mind trying something different plus the workout on the bridges in Clearwater is rather tempting:)
ReplyDeleteI just registed for Boston today also and used my qualifying time from the OUter Banks marathon from Nov '08. If I am not mistaken, we have a few people headed to Bean town, correct? It'll be a blast!!! See you soon!
